HOW MANY CALORIES SHOULD I EAT?
We need calories to function everyday for talking, walking, breathing, etc. When you eat excess calories they are stored as fat and it will cause you to gain weight over time.
If you want to lose 1lb a week you must cut 500 calories per day. Each person is unique so factors like gender, age, activity levels impact the recommended number of calories you need to exist each day.
Don’t get obsessed over counting calories, just learn to be mindful and understand what you are putting in your body and how it may effect your mood and energy levels.
WHAT IS A BMI SCORE?
A BMI score is the relationship between your height and weight and is useful to help identify if you are at risk for obesity related diseases.
NOTE: BMI cannot distinguish between fat and muscle.
Muscle weighs more than fat and having more muscle mass is generally associated with better health and life expectancy, so its important to build muscle.
